Marriage
When I began working in a Kindergarten classroom last fall the classroom teacher was telling her students that they need to address me as "Miss" rather than "Mrs." She then asked her students if they knew the difference between "Miss" and "Mrs." None of the students knew so the teacher explained that a "Miss" is someone who is not married and a "Mrs." is someone who is married. One little girl threw her hand up in the air and the teacher called on her. The little girl then quickly stated "My mom used to be a Miss and then she FINALLY married my dad this summer and now she's a Mrs. and she hates being a Mrs."
